One of the oldest families in France

Discover our history …

One of the oldest families in France, the Dampierre family has associated its destiny with the Champagne region for seven centuries.

By marrying Marie Boisseau in 1881, whose family was related to well-known champagne houses, Comte Audoin de Dampierre’s great grand-father bound his name to this noble product.

In 1986, Audoin de Dampierre established his company and Champagne House. He put all his passion and energy into the development of his brand and established the name worldwide, before handing it on.

The diamond of Champagne

Chardonnay is the diamond of Champagne and Comtes de Dampierre has built throughout the years its reputation on this grape variety from the Côte des Blancs : four products of our range are blanc de blancs cuvées.

The Pinot Noir grapes from premier cru vineyards come from the Montagne de Reims and we have deliberately chosen not to use any Pinot Meunier.

The best grapes from premier cru and grand cru vineyards are the key for our outstanding qualities.

Promoting his Champagne brand in all French Embassies around the world was one of Audoin de Dampierre’s part of the success and he was able to rely on his family connections.
Experiencing the work as an ambassador for this brand he decided to use this name for his champagne range.
